FAKRO's folding attic ladders have a quick fixing system which enables the ladder to be easily installed by one or two people. Adjusting the height of the ladder and steps (ladder toe space) is very easy to do. Not much room is needed when opening or closing the attic ladder. Once closed the attic ladder will fold and fit into the ceiling and therefore maximizing available free space!

Basic Wooden model - LWN (for barns, non-insulated garages, projects with limited insulation requirements, e.t.c...  Not recommended for the indoors of homes).

Inuslated and sealed wooden models - LWP for garages, inside houses, projects with insulation requirements, e.t.c...)

Insulated and sealed thermo wooden model – LWT (for areas with saving energy requirements and customers who like quality and saving)

Insulated and sealed fire rated wooden model – LWF (for building codes requiring fire protection, etc.)

Folding Metal Ladder Types:

All ladders are solidly built and come with a long-term warranty program.* Minimum ceiling heights are recommended by the manufacturer for each model and must be followed.  Please ask us about details for specific models.

*If the client does not follow the manufacturer's recommendations- he/she must agree to indemnify the manufacturer. Thus hold Fakro and Al-Arch Lanterneaux harmless from any liabilities that may arise from adjustments/alterations made beyond the recommended minimum ceiling height.

Plastic ends LXS

 One can add finishing elements which mount at the base of the ladder, adding elegance while being practical: The optional dark brown base ends (LXS) are made from plastic materials to protect the floor from being scratched. Through appropriate shape, they add to the ladder’s stability. They are very easy to install (no angle cutting necessary). They can be mounted on ladders already in use. Each set contains 2 pieces. Available for all sizes LWN, LWP, LWF, LWT.

Metal Handrail (LHX)

The Optional red-painted Metal Handrail (LHX) is mounted on the angle brackets of the ladder.  It and can be mounted on either side of the ladder, making climbing easier.  The handrail is available in 2 lenghts.

25 1⁄2 inches for  OWM

29 1⁄2 inches for LWN, LWP, LWF, LWT, LMS.

Upper Hatch (LXW-B)

The Optional Upper Hatch (LXW-B) prevents attic dust from accumulating on the hatch and steps of the closed ladder. It improves the overall insulating parameters and tightness of the ladder on which it is installed. The height of the upper hatch box is 7 3⁄4 inches. Available for ladders LWN, LWP, LWF, LWT, OWM, LMS, LML. For the LST model ladder, the extension box LXN should be installed prior to the upper hatch.
